HoloLens doesn't connect to WiFi occasionally

Hello,

We have a couple of HoloLens Commercial Suite headsets that are set up to use the same login (username@domainname.onmicrosoft.com). The sign-in is disabled on both so that I can run them in Kiosk Mode and start a particular demo app. The demo app is supposed to connect to an internal WiFi with no Internet access and communicate with an application running on a PC that's also on the same Internet-less WiFi.

The problem is that sometimes the HoloLens won't connect to the WiFi at all; the HoloLens app will still start but won't connect to the PC app that's waiting for it since the HoloLens headset is not connected to any Wi-Fi. I found no pattern to this problem, sometimes it's one HoloLens that won't connect to the WiFi, sometimes the other. This happens both in Kiosk Mode and standard operating mode, which is how I found out that the demo app not working was caused by the HoloLens not connecting to the WiFi.

I have checked that the WiFi network in question is the only one that has saved credentials on the HoloLens. Furthermore, in standard operating mode I can see that the HoloLens is not connected to any WiFi and manually force it to connect to the Internet-less WiFi. Of course I cannot do the same thing in Kiosk Mode, which is a huge problem as that's how we want to show the demo app to customers to prevent them from accidentally blooming out of the demo app.

Any ideas as to what's causing this and how to fix it? We've been using the HoloLens headsets for at least half a year with no WiFi connection problems at all; the only thing that changed recently was resetting all of them a couple of weeks ago to use the same sign-in account (username@domainname.onmicrosoft.com).

Thanks!
