Hi!

I got the October Update on the 11th of October.
Every time the Hololens installs the update, it reboots and gets stuck at the "hello" screen.
The screen is showing hello, short pause, then showing hello again and the lights on the device indicate, that it's scanning the room.

While it was stuck I was able to connect via WIFI to the device and saw the main menu with a note that the hololens is scanning the environment. It seems to get stuck at this point somehow.

Since then every time I reset the device to the factory setting it works, but after the update its broken again. Since it is auto updating I'm not able to work with it.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Could you send me a Image with the OS Version before the October update, so I can use this until its fixed? (then I also need so have an option to turn off auto update)

Hi guys,

I'm a starting programmer on the Microsoft Hololens. I would like to scan a barcode with the Hololens and then send it as string or int to my PC an put it in another software. Is this possible and how should I do this ?

Hello,

I am getting some build errors while building VS solution for HoloLens. I have created a simple Hello World app for HoloLens and generated C# project from Build Settings.

Below are the errors I am getting when I try to build the solution.

Could not find SDK "WindowsMobile, Version=10.0.17134.0". Assembly-CSharp
Could not find SDK "WindowsIoT, Version=10.0.17134.0". Assembly-CSharp
Could not find SDK "WindowsTeam, Version=10.0.17134.0". Assembly-CSharp
Could not find SDK "WindowsDesktop, Version=10.0.17134.0". Assembly-CSharp
Could not find SDK "WindowsMobile, Version=10.0.17134.0". Origami

To make sure that the issue is not related to my project, I downloaded Origami sample from HoloAcademy and tried creating VS Solution from that. I am getting the same error for that also.

So looks like some issues with my environment. Below are my environment:

• Windows 10 Pro 1803
• VS 2017 Pro 15.7.5
• Unity Pro 2017.4.1f1

I am wondering how does Mobile/IoT/Team SDKs came into HL solution.

Does anyone faces this issue before?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi , I am looking to get started on Windows Mixed Reality.

There a lot of different options like Oculus , Samsung etc.. which is the most economical for a developer to get started.

I am trying to deserialize below json content. I have tried JsonUtility and Newtonsoft.Json libraries. JsonUtility could not deserialize nested arrays. And I got Configuration error with Newtonsoft library.

Both library works perfect in Unity 2018.2.17.f1. However, they fail on Hololens device. I am targetting .net 4.x and using il2cpp scripting backend.

Dear expert
I have a very basic question. I've started a Hololens system with a user which is now always showing up when I power the Hololenses...I wanted to either switch to a new one or reverse to factory settings (I believe the unsafe reset to be the only option) - I'll explain further if needed but I'm lower than a novice at this stage and begging for help.
